About

I’m never short of a willingness to move house and experience new cultures. My views have been formulated through years of new experiences and being lucky enough to have friends from all over the world.

I’m Irish but have lived in England for the last eight years, having lived in Poland for almost five years before this and England again for almost five years before that! I did very very briefly live in Germany, though so briefly to say I lived there might be stretching it a little.

My last seven years have been spent teaching. Although I trained as a History teacher teaching GCSE and A Level, I now teach English in a middle school. Having sworn many years ago I had no interest in being an academic leader – I’m now a Head of Department.

I firmly believe in flexibility. Life throws you all sorts of curve balls, they can get you down but really they are an opportunity. Some of my actions have resulted from curve balls that threatened to bring me down.

I have lots of opinions, some you may agree with, some not! I would love to know what you think (good or bad).
